I was initially brought in on a freelance basis to help with the launch of the new Nokia Lumia. Aside from doing general brand related tasks and prepping for the final push, I also went above all of this and used my love for illustration to create a concept that could accompany the launch.
The main idea behind the Nokia Lumia was namely "the amazing every day". Considering the broad term, the illustration work went on to push the more local voice. Taking the big idea and gear it towards a more colorful and savvy South African Market. The illustrations were to work across many other different forms of media.
Some of these were printed clothes and sneakers, with the vision of turning the Nokia brand into a fashion statement, something worth wearing.
Going through the archives I seem to have lost the initial mock-ups of the clothing items and overall branding. Below are some of the illustrations I created though.
Doing something a bit more out-of-the-box to get closer to a younger audience. The illustrations were to show the main brand communication "the amazing everyday". These all show either well loved or well known objects in awesome ways, the awesomeness of life!
